Dr. Michael Lateiner and Dr. Peter Paradiso want kids and parents to know that going to the dentist can be fun. “Our job is to make sure that kids leave happy and are excited to come back,” says Dr. Lateiner, a board-certified pediatric dentist and 16-time New Jersey Family Favorite Kids’ Doc. “We’re happiest when a once-fearful patient leaves with a smile.”

Positive Dental Visits for Kids

Known as “Dr. Mike” and “Dr. Pete,” the pediatric dentists are admittedly kids at heart. The decor of their practice’s three modern, vibrant office locations reflects their commitment to making dentistry and orthodontics a positive experience for children; Bright Smiles 4 Kids was recently renovated and is now double its original size. They treat children and teens in a welcoming atmosphere with all the bells and whistles, from TVs to an Xbox, tablets to touch-screen games. The Newton location has a jungle theme, Cedar Knolls depicts a trip around the world in a giant hot air balloon, and the practice’s newest office in Hackettstown takes kids under the sea. “We try to keep everything fresh and new to ensure kids enjoy their experience with us,” says Dr. Lateiner, a father of three. “Whether it’s our fish tank, bubble wall or video games, patients are excited to see what’s new in the office.”

Comfortable, Pain-Free Treatments

All three offices use state-of-the-art technology to help make visits comfortable and pain-free, including digital impressions and X-rays, as well as bitewing images taken from outside the mouth. “We deliver top-notch services in a way that puts kids at ease and makes parents feel that their children are well taken care of,” Dr. Paradiso says. Dr. Lateiner and Dr. Paradiso graduated from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. They are both on staff at Morristown Medical Center, where they teach dental residents.
