About West Windsor
Picture yourself biking down the Delaware-Raritan Canal trails, stopping to picnic, visiting the ponds and open fields at the Ron Rogers Arboretum, popping by the farmer’s market or renting a rowboat, pedal boat or kayak at Mercer County Park Marina. The township is teeming with plenty of opportunities to get outdoors, according to Andrea Sue Mandel, a resident for 30 years.
“Both kids and adults are always being exposed to all kinds of cultures,” says Mandel. The school system teaches languages like Chinese, Spanish, French and German, in addition to coming together for local programs like Community Day and National Night Out.
And there’s nothing New Jerseyans love more than food: Mandel recommends Capuano Ristorante for traditional Italian and First Wok for authentic Chinese. Fun fact? The monument in Grover’s Mill was used as the location of an alien invasion in Orson Welles’ 1938 The War of the Worlds radio broadcast.
