We love being surrounded by inspiring moms who get to do what they love for a living while raising kids. And we’re all about connecting and learning from them every chance we get. So we’re really excited to be a part of an amazing event that’s happening on June 5 at Short Hills Mall. In Her Shoes: #MomBoss Panel Discussion will bring together four successful NJ mompreneurs who’ll be chatting with Hip NJ co-founder Maria Falzo about their businesses, their families and their advice for other NJ moms. We’ve teamed up with Hip New Jersey to showcase these amazing mamas at the event, which will be held June 5 at 9:30 am at Bloomingdales in Short Hills.
Here are the four moms you’ll hear from:
Cheldin Barlatt Rumer
CEO, i-g creative
CEO, Exec. Producer and Host, This is it TV
This south Jersey mom is a marketer who inspires small businesses and entrepreneurs to “scream their dreams.” On her daily live show on Facebook, the Washington Township mom of two chats with brand reps about local people, places and products that should be on your radar. Rumer makes it her mission to keep the program high-energy and an escape from the often stressful day to day.
Danielle Forte
Owner and Creative Director, 828
Danielle’s first fashion line, the Danielle Forte Collection, was launched in 2015, just after she gave birth to her daughter Nahla. Becoming a mom had a huge influence on the brand and it evolved into 828 Clothing in the summer of 2017. Managing 828 is a family affair. Her husband Matt, who is a running back for the New York Jets, helped her launch 828 Baby, a line of unisex clothes for babies up to 2 years old.
Mallika Malhotra
Brand Photographer and Strategist, MikiFoto+Co
Malhotra is a pro photographer for female entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses via powerful, gorgeous visuals. The Short Hills mom of three’s mission is not only to deliver stunning photos to her clients but also to help them further their brands by telling visual stories in a unique, strategic way.
Priya Virmani
Personal Stylist and Founder, Privée by Priya
Also from Short Hills, Virmani’s fashion expertise can be traced back to her time living in Paris. It all started with helping friends integrate American brands into their Parisian wardrobes. Today, she styles, shops, organizes and makes lookbooks for clients, most of whom are working moms and dads. Virmani works with a myriad of budgets and styles, and loves to mix both high and low end fashion.
Maria Falzo, co-founder of Hip New Jersey and a mother of 2 from Cedar Grove, will be moderating the panel. Falzo has a background in PR which she paired with partner Lisa Marie Latino’s deep video experience to create Hip NJ, a lifestyle series and site dedicated to fashion, food, trends and entertainment in NJ.
