Pediatric dentist Dr. Yana Kozlovsky wants parents and their children to know that going to the dentist can actually be fun. Known as Dr. Yana, she strives to help her young patients enjoy dental visits while positively influencing children’s dental development and ensuring future oral health.

Making Dental Visits Fun

The family-oriented, modern practice features iPads, games and TVs for kids (and their parents) to enjoy—her patients often don’t want to leave the office after their appointment. Dr. Kozlovsky’s staff knows and engages with each child personally.

“Our staff has been here for a long time, so they have developed relationships with our families and make kids feel welcome the moment they walk through the door— and when it’s time for treatment, our assistants and hygienists are also a lot of fun,” says the mother of three.

Dr. Kozlovsky believes in conservative treatment whenever possible. The state-of-the-art practice offers the latest technology, including digital radiographs and intraoral photos.

Team Effort for Treatment

Dr. Kozlovsky always discusses all available options with parents. “The care we provide is completely individualized, and it’s always a team effort here—we believe in partnering with families and presenting them with all of their options so we can decide upon the best treatment plan for their child together.”

Dr. Kozlovsky is a recipient of the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award for outstanding performance on the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry examination. She completed her DMD Degree at Rutgers Dental School, a general practice residency at Mountainside Hospital and a residency in pediatric dentistry at Maimonides Medical Center, where she served as chief resident.

“I’ve always known I wanted to work with kids—they are so much fun and everyone in our office genuinely enjoys interacting with our patients and getting to know them,” she says.
