Join Hip NJ and New Jersey Family at Bloomingdale’s in Short Hills for this second annual event.
As busy moms juggling the kids and their schedules with work and everything in between, we are all about our village of mama friends who support us, inspire us and keep us sane. That’s why we’re so excited to be a part of an amazing event showcasing some of NJ’s leading power moms talking modern motherhood. On May 9, just in time for Mother’s Day, join us and Hip NJ for the second annual In Her Shoes: #MomBoss Panel Discussion at Bloomingdale’s at the Short Hills Mall.
The event is happening from 10– 11:30 a.m. at Bloomingdale’s (shoes on 2). You’ll hear from three successful mompreneurs about their work, their families and their best advice.
Liz Tenety
Liz Tenety is co-founder of Motherly, a lifestyle parenting brand redefining motherhood. The site provides its 30M+ community of mamas with encouragement, support and inspiration to embrace motherhood while also not losing their true sense of self. A mother of three from Summit, Tenety is also a co-author of the recently-published book, This Is Motherhood: A Motherly Collection of Reflections + Practices. She and her husband are expecting their fourth child this year.
Andrea Samacicia Mullan
Andrea Samacicia Mullan is the founder of Victory Public Relations, where she leads an award-winning team in providing custom, prestige PR campaigns for their clients. Her understanding of the media, attention to relationships, and ability to identify trends has powered countless exciting campaigns and the growth of VPR. VPR is headquarters in Summit, where Andrea also lives with her husband and two sons.
Marisa Brahney
Marisa Brahney is an Emmy-award winning television host who spent 15 years in the world of TV news. For the past 6 years, Marisa covered her home state of NJ, working as an anchor and reporter for News 12 New Jersey. In addition to winning an Emmy for an in-depth, documentary-style show on the start of the state’s heroin epidemic, she covered major stories like the deadly Hoboken train crash and Pope Francis’ visit to New York. On the lighter side, the Jersey Food & Fun series she built drew a huge following for its fresh take on some of the state’s best eats. Her Mom’s Minute segment harnessed the power of the mom “tribe,” tackling topics of interest to NJ moms.
You can currently see her as the national brand rep for Cuisinart on QVC, working with NJ Mom, and as a TV lifestyle expert. She is a mom of two sons and a daughter who passed away shortly after her birth in 2014. Since then, Marisa has been a passionate supporter of pregnancy and infant loss awareness initiatives that support families who’ve lost babies. She and her husband Tony are expecting another daughter this year.
Maria Falzo
Maria Falzo, co-founder of Hip New Jersey and a mother of 2 from Cedar Grove, will be moderating the panel. Falzo has a background in PR which she paired with partner Lisa Marie Latino’s deep video experience to create Hip NJ, a lifestyle series and site dedicated to fashion, food, trends and entertainment in NJ.
