A delicious meal, an afternoon spent doing what he loves and (if he’s tech-obsessed) a new gadget all come to mind when thinking about the perfect Father’s Day gift. Need some fresh ideas? From the practical things he needs to the fun stuff he would never buy for himself, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite ideas for thoughtful gift-giving.
A Golf Shirt With Swagger
We’re obsessed with this brand that combines style and durability in their wrinkle-free golf shirts. The athletic shirts have 4-way stretch, UPF 40 sun protection and are made with moisture-wicking material. Sunday Swagger also sells matching father-son shirts for all ages for the golf course and beyond. The bright colors and patterns are a huge plus, too. Palmera Shirt, sundayswagger.com. $59
A Better Night’s Sleep
When’s the last time he replaced his pillow? This luxe hypoallergenic down alternative pillow is light, airy and comfy and an ideal height for side sleepers. Made with Fair Trade Certified cotton, the pillow is an investment that’s especially ideal for allergy sufferers because the alternative down materials inhibit the growth of dust mites and the like that unknowingly seep into your pillow. Our favorite feature? The organic cotton absorbs body heat so he’ll stay cool at night (which means we may need to steal it for ourselves).

He’ll get to try a mix of flavor profiles and roast levels, from espresso to medium roasts and beyond. You can adjust the subscription based on coffee taste, such as light and medium, medium and dark and whole bean or ground.

A Game The Family Can Play Together
This game with a clever name is as fun as it sounds. Hitster! is a music party game and you don’t need to be a music trivia nerd to play. The game comes with 300+ game cards that feature hits from artists from a range of decades, past and present, like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Whitney Houston, Backstreet Boys, Jack Harlow, Taylor Swift and Frank Sinatra.
Once you draw a card, you’ll need to scan the card’s QR code and the free Hitster game app plays the songs via Spotify (no subscription needed). Players take turns guessing when the songs were released, artist names and song titles. The first player to have a music timeline of 10 song cards wins. The game is for ages 16 and up but your music-loving tween that’s a bit younger may love it too or you can play sans kids.

A Bourbon Honoring a New Jersey Icon
New Jerseyans are no strangers to Eric LeGrand’s inspiring journey. LeGrand’s life was forever changed in 2010 when he became paralyzed after a tackle while playing football for Rutgers University. Since then, LeGrand has been a motivational speaker, a philanthropist raising money for and awareness of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation (which supports those living with and impacted by paralysis by finding the cure for spinal cord injuries) and an entrepreneur.
In addition to opening LeGrand Coffee in his hometown of Woodbridge, LeGrand co-founded his own whiskey brand, Eric LeGrand Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, last year. Eric LeGrand Bourbon is made with heartland-grown corn, limestone purified water, rye and barley. It’s aged no less than two years in charred oak barrels and has a smooth, crisp finish. The brand donates $5.20 from every case sold to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.
