Daffodil Day at Reeves-Reed Arboretum
Where: Reeves-Reed Arboretum, Summit
Deets: This family event celebrates a favorite flower and springtime as a whole with flower power activities and a trip to the 1970s the whole fam can enjoy.

Saturday, April 20

Secaucus Town Wide Earth Day Cleanup
Where: Mill Creek Marsh, Secaucus
Deets: Don’t worry about bringing supplies, just bring your brawn! Help clean up your community and teach the kids about taking care of Mother Earth.

Saturday-Monday, April 20-22

Earth Day Weekend
Where: New Jersey State Botanical Garden, Ringwood
Deets: Introduce your kids to the wonders of Mother Nature. Go for an early spring wildflower walk on Saturday or a family woodland hike on Sunday.

The Amazing Arboretum Challenge: Earth Day Edition
Where: Reeves-Reed Arboretum, Summit
Deets: After spending the day at school kiddos can use a map and compass to search for clues that’ll help them solve a puzzle, all the while learning about the importance of Mother Earth.

Friday, April 26

Arbor Day Celebration
Where: Land Conservancy of New Jersey Headquarters, Boonton
Deets: Ages 5-10 can visit this 44-acre preserve to learn about tree planting, plus take a walk on the trails to see the different types of trees.

Tween Lock-In
Where: Warren County Library, Northeast Branch, Hackettstown
Deets: Ages 9-17 can collect eggs hidden throughout the library, plus create seed bombs in honor of Earth Day. There’ll also be pizza and a movie! Registration required.

Saturday, April 27

19th Annual Earth Day Festival
Where: Echo Hill Park, Flemington
Deets: From a live animal show to a sing along, this Earth Day fest is pulling out all the stops. Take a hike around the park, meet with 4-H organizations, work on crafts made from recycled materials and play games. Try paddling or cozy up by the campfire and roast s’mores during storytime.

Earth Day Festival
Where: South Branch Preserve North Tract, Budd Lake
Deets: Bring the family out for seed plantings, a scavenger hunt and an easy, guided hike. Fingers crossed you’ll spot waterfowl, birds of prey and goats.

Northern Valley Earth Fair
Where: Tenafly Middle School, Tenafly
Deets: From face painting to a petting zoo and a live animal show to other educational shows, you’ll have entertained environmentals in no time.

Earth Day 2019 Annual 5K Run
Where: Liberty State Park, Jersey City
Deets: Make your way to Liberty State Park for some exercise. It’s good for the earth and good for you, too.

Sunday, April 28

ACUA Earth Day
Where: ACUA Environmental Park, Egg Harbor Twp.
Deets: Egg Harbor Township is home to a huge Earth Day party, featuring interactive demos, live animals, education workshops, vendors, food and other activities. This is a can’t-miss.
