A ton of planning goes into any vacay to a Disney Park, so if you’re planning a trip any time soon you’ll need to know about some new rules at the theme parks.

  • If you have a tiny one in tow, be sure your stroller meets the new guidelines. Starting May 1, strollers will only be permitted in the parks if they’re smaller than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long. Wagons and stroller wagons are not permitted. Don’t want to lug it with you or chase it through the airport? Rent a Disney stroller, single ($15/day, $13/multi-day for length of stay) or double ($31/day, $27/multi-day for length of stay).
  • Starting May 1, there will be no more designated smoking areas inside any Disney theme or water park. The only place you’ll be able to light up is outside park entrances and in Disney Resort Hotel smoking areas.
  • Are you that mom who always has a cooler with snacks and drinks on hand? Be warned: Loose ice in coolers is no longer permitted as of today. Use a reusable ice pack, or head to a Quick-Service spot to get free ice from the park, or cool off with an ice water (or a famous Dole Whip cone!).
