We’re totally obsessed with our fur babies! Kick off the new year by bringing them all to the Super Pet Expo, where your kids and leashed pets are welcome to wander around the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison during a full weekend of fun.
New for 2025 is a visit by Tiny, who may be the world’s smallest dog. A micro teacup Chihuahua Applehead, he weighs just over a pound and is only 4 inches tall. He’ll be available for selfies.
Have a discussion with animal communicator Raven Noel, who will explain what your pet is really thinking and show you how to speak with your pet. Gerry Burch will share his knowledge of exotic birds at Parties by Parrots. Scott Wisneski with Family Reptiles will provide presentations, and other reptile experts will offer advice and sell reptile supplies in the Repticon section.
Dawn Wolfe with Pawsitively FAMOUS Animal Talent Agency will audition pets, plus emcee a panel of top pet influencers who will share how their pets went from ordinary pet to having a worldwide audience: Amber Aquart & Whiskey Toller, Bryan Reisberg and Maxine the Fluffy Corgi, and Brian Benson & Magnus the Therapy Dog. Returning champion stunt dog trainer Chrissy Joy’s Bone-A-Fied Talent Group will show of the skills of their top stunt dogs.
There are tons of things for pets to do, too. Cheer them on at a derby race, sit by as they make new friends at the puppy playground, try to find them in a ball pit of 5,000 balls, or laugh as they chase a fake rabbit along the lure course. Enter your household or pedigree cat into the TICA Breeds:Â United Cat Club competitions, or sit by for the Celebrity Catwalk.
You can get a free paw print of your pet, or stop by the Garden State Animal Rescue Center booth for microchipping.
As you walk around, stop by the 100 exhibitors addressing pet adoption, pet care and health, grooming, food and daycare, creative pet gifts, treats, fashion, grooming accessories and toys.
The Super Pet Expo will be held at the New Jersey Convention Center, 97 Sunfield Ave., Edison. Hours are 3-8 pm on Friday, January 3; from 10 am to 7 pm on Saturday, January 4; and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday, January 5. Tickets bought online start at $15, or $10 for kids 4-11, and are valid for re-entry on all three days. If you buy tickets at the show, the cost is $20, or $10 for kids 4-11.
