You’ll have a chance to experience the lore of Ancient Egypt when Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience opens in NY this week.
You’ll time travel to the 3,300-year-old story of King Tut, and walk through nine different galleries that discuss his rule as a child pharaoh, his family, the discovery of his tomb, the mysteries surrounding his early death and his journey to the afterlife. This celebrates the 100th anniversary of King Tut’s tomb discovery, which was on Nov. 4, 1922.
This new exhibition is created in partnership with the National Geographic Society, so you know there will be lots of history, mystery and storytelling to delight your family throughout this immersive experience. Beyond King Tut is also produced by Paquin Entertainment Group, which has worked on the uber-popular Beyond Van Gogh and Beyond Monet exhibitions.
Beyond King Tut will open for a limited run from Oct. 28 to Jan. 1, 2023, at Pier 36, 299 South St., New York. Tickets are timed and dated from 10 am-8pm Sundays-Thursdays and from 10am-9pm Fridays and Saturdays, with special holiday hours. Prices start at $47 for adults and $34 for children ages 5-15 (including ticketing fees). Package rates are available for families, seniors and groups. VIP Tickets include a flexible entry time, merchandise and the award-winning “Tutankhamun: Enter the Tomb” VR companion experience voiced by English actor Hugh Bonneville.
