Head to Jersey City for this one-of-a-kind musical journey.

James Hood Music

Jersey City’s Liberty Science Center is home to the biggest planetarium in the western hemisphere. If the kids haven’t been there with you or on a field trip yet, now may be the time to get your ticket: A stunning new show is playing next month.

Mesmerica 360: A Visual Music Journey is a full-dome planetarium projection that boasts all-around visuals and music from Grammy-nominated composer James Hood. Hood’s show is packed with 3-D animated art from international artists and meant to immerse audience members in a soothing, stimulating experience.

After the show’s sold out showings in California and beyond, it’s making an appearance on select June weekends in NJ. Tickets for June 1, 15 and 29 are still available (seats are already sold out for June 8 and 22) and are $34/adults and $12/kids ages 6-13. There are three showings per evening at 5:45, 7:15 and 8:45 pm. The show is a little longer than 60 minutes.

Visit eventbrite.com to get your tickets while they last. The Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium is located in Liberty Science Center at 222 Jersey City Blvd. in Jersey City.
