At Preferred Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery, fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedists Drs. Avrum Joffe, Hakan Pehlivan and recent addition Jessica Bernstein treat children’s injuries and deformities. Along with physician assistants (PA) Jill McGovern and Jessica Perkins, the top-notch team provides treatment for fractures, sports injuries and congenital musculoskeletal deformities.

A Staple of the Community

Board-certified Drs. Joffe and Pehlivan completed pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowships at the renowned Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. The practice is affiliated with The Valley Hospital in Paramus, where Dr. Joffe serves as associate director of orthopedics. They also operate and provide pediatric orthopedic coverage at Hackensack University Medical Center, Vanguard Surgical Center and Surgicare of Ridgewood.

A Wyckoff native and current resident, Dr. Joffe enjoys serving his hometown community. Dr. Pehlivan and his family reside in Riverdale. “All providers in our practice live amongst our patients and their families,” Dr. Joffe says. “We offer local resources and familiarity to the community we treat.”
