Where to Pick Your Own Blueberries in NJ

New Jersey's state fruit can be picked off the wine, enjoyed at a festival or sipped as wine or beer

BLUEBERRY BILL FARMS

It’s easy to see why the blueberry is New Jersey’s official state fruit. Sweet, nutritious and perfect for snacking or baking, blueberries are also low enough on the bush for even little kids to pick themselves.

You can bring the whole family to a pick-your-own farm in New Jersey for a fun outing. Picking usually starts mid-June, but some farms have been affected by the freeze in April, resulting in smaller crops in some cases. Check with your local farm for picking times, weather updates and ticket information before heading out.

There’s also a handful of blueberry-themed festivals, and wineries/breweries that are serving blueberry-based drinks. Plan a full day of blueberry fun with the fam.
