On Memorial Day we take a moment to honor Americans who have fought and died while in service to our country. For many Americans, the main event is attending a parade. Memorial Day is also a time of celebration, as it marks the unofficial start to summer! We've picked some of our favorite parades that go over-the-top in celebrating.

Starts from the corner of Hackensack St. and Highland Ave. The conclusion of the parade will take place at our beautifully maintained ground of Veterans Park where festivities will include free refreshments (hot dogs & ice cream), strolling musicians, military vehicle rides, plus the involvement from many of our Wood-Ridge merchants. Free flags and novelties will be distributed to all who are present by the curbside along the parade route.

Starting at the Cornerstone Christian Church, antique military vehicles, civic organizations, marching bands, veteran and military color guards and Veterans of Foreign Wars take a left on Wyckoff Ave., a right on Main St., a right on Franklin Ave. and a left into Scott Plaza, where the procession ends. Don't forget to hit the Veteran's Memorial Service before at 10 am.

This year’s Memorial Day Parade will start at with a ceremonial service at the Oval to commemorate those who have died defending the United States. At 10 am after the ceremony, the parade will start at Memorial Oval and proceed down Livingston Ave. until it ends at Congressional Parkway.
