Want to let your little ones explore videos on the internet, but afraid to leave them alone with an iPad because you don't know what horrible thing they could find if they click on related videos? That's probably safe. But YouTube has released a new app (available for Apple and Android) that hopes to alleviate this problem (think along the lines of Netflix's Just For Kids area).
The new app is totally free and let's your little ones watch tons of children's programming and age-appropriate videos. There's also kid-friendly content from filmmakers, teachers and creators, to help inspire those young minds.
The app has been stripped down to make it easier for kids and has a built-in timer that alerts kids when it is time to stop watching. We love this, because with so many videos, they could probably watch all day if we let them (especially if it involves Sesame Street and Thomas & Friends).
