Your late-night de-stressing sessions with that roll of premade cookie dough are coming to an end. Dough Life, an edible cookie dough company, is opening four NJ storefronts. That’s right: You’ll be able to indulge in scoops of the raw sweet stuff in gourmet flavors with the kids (as opposed to sneaking past their rooms for a spoonful or five by the light of your open fridge).
With five NY locations and one more on the way, Dough Life isn’t new to the dessert scene. You can already get your fix at the Garden State Plaza in Paramus at the kiosk near Banana Republic, but four more locales are coming to Freehold Raceway Mall (opens May 5), Cherry Hill, Deptford Mall in Deptford and Menlo Park, according to NJ.com.
Dough Life doles out its goodies in scoops (yup, like ice cream), and serves them in cups and cones. And this isn’t your grandma’s standard chocolate chip mix. Choose from signature flavors like King Caramel (caramel, sea salt, dark chocolate), S’More Please (graham cracker, fluff, mini chocolate morsels), The Americano (espresso and nutella ) and Mint Dynasty (mint, mini chocolate morsels). The kids soon-to-be fave? Life of the Party, a mix of cookie batter dough and sprinkles. Seasonal selections include The Old Fashioned (cinnamon, oatmeal, raisins), Pumpkin Pie (pumpkin pie dough, spices, homemade pie crust) and Raspberry Macaroon (raspberry dough, coconut).
Best part? The dough contains no eggs, uses heat-treated flour to kill any microbes and stays fresh for two weeks. Imagine going ham as a kid on your mom’s recipe without having to listen to her warnings about salmonella!
