The 2022 LPGA Cognizant Founders Cup takes place this week, May 11-15 at Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton and the organization just announced that Defending Champion & World’s #1 Ranked Women’s Golfer, Jin Young Ko, will headline the field.
“The LPGA is thrilled to be at Upper Montclair Country Club and make this historic venue the home of the Cognizant Founders Cup,” says Scott Wood, Sr. Director, Cognizant Founders Cup. “After an amazing first year in Northern NJ, where women’s golf was passionately embraced by fans and sponsors alike, we are excited to begin a new tradition and create memorable moments at UMCC.”
Cognizant will continue to be the Title Sponsor for the event, which pays tribute to the 13 founding members of the LPGA. The Cognizant Founders Cup offers a $3 million purse, the largest of any LPGA Tour event outside the majors.
The field will be filled with today’s most talented players, plus the 16-year-old winner of the Augusta Women’s National Amateur.

Tickets for the tournament are available at www.thefounderslpga.com. General admission tickets provide access to the tournament grounds any day Wednesday through Sunday and are $40. A weekly 5-day pass available for $125. Veterans, first responders, active military and Juniors 17 and under receive free general admission. Hospitality packages are also available.
