Wildwood Named to TripAdvisors’ Best Family Beach Vacations in USA

As if New Jerseyans needed another reason to grab the sunscreen and hit our fave free beaches, this week TripAdvisor named The Wildwoods one of the “25 Best Family Beach Vacations to Take with the Kids in the USA.”

Wildwood shares the honor with other iconic spots like Myrtle Beach, Virginia Beach, Honolulu, Captiva Island and San Diego, and honestly, it comes as no surprise after the NJ gem topped the list on TripAdvisor’s 2017 Summer Vacation Value Report (which ranked 50 of the best domestic destinations based on cost, airfare and seasonal booking).

While compiling its newest list, TripAdvisor took into account each destination’s uniqueness factor, noting Wildwood’s five miles of calm shores, boardwalk and amusement park, on top of being family-friendly and great for all ages. They also considered booking volume, travel reviews and traveler ratings from vacation rental sites.

“The majority of vacationers who return to the Wildwoods year after year are mainly families, and we believe the reason is because we are a multi-generational shore destination with so much to see and do to satisfy every member of the family,” says John Siciliano, executive director and CFO of the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority.
