​Forget Taco Tuesday and make a plan to indulge on Friday, just in time for National Taco Day.

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar

This favorite will be slinging $1 chicken wonton tacos for National Taco Day. These are crispy wonton shells filled with tangy grilled chicken in a sweet chili sauce and cilantro slaw. Dine-in only, three taco minimum.

Blue Moon Mexican Café

Share Blue Moon’s National Taco Day post (keep an eye on the chain’s social media on the 4th) and email contact@bluemoonmexicancafe. The first 100 people to do so will score a certificate for BOGO tacos. Locations in Englewood, Woodcliff Lake or Wyckoff.

Bubbakoo’s Burritos

Score up to five $1 tacos at any location. This chain is in 27 NJ towns, including Asbury Park, Belmar, Cherry Hill, Freehold, Jackson, New Brunswick, Oakland and Somerville.

California Tortilla

Score a free taco with any purchase at the Sicklerville location. All you have to do is say “Taco-berfest” when you place your order. Having a taco fiesta at home? Score free delivery when you order a taco bar by October 4 by saying “Taco-berfest Catering.”

Central Taco and Tequila

Head to Westmont for a $1 Throwback Taco, a flour tortilla filled with ground beef, jack cheese, lettuce and tomato. Try the taco of the month, the Chipotle Glazed Shrimp, while you’re there.

Chevys

Head to Chevys in either Clifton or Linden for a special dessert: The Choco Taco. It starts with a hardened chocolate taco shell. Then, it gets filled with vanilla ice cream, Oreo crumbs, whipped cream, caramel, chocolate sauce and a cherry.

No surprise, the taco chain is going all out with limited edition gift boxes. For $5, you can feast on two Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos and two classic Crunchy Tacos.
