New Jersey's Free Fishing Days

Saturday and Sunday, June 15 and 16, will be New Jersey's Free Fishing Days in 2013. Free Fishing Days are held annually in conjunction with National Fishing and Boating Week, and on these days anyone may fish the Garden State’s public waters without a license or trout stamp. All other regulations, including size and daily catch limits, remain in effect.

One of Hoboken’s “firsts” is hosting the first officially-recorded, organized “base ball” game in 1846. In commemoration, watch a reenactment (in full uniform) of a mid-19th-century game.
