American Dream in East Rutherford is already home to Nickelodeon Universe, DreamWorks Water Park, Big Snow, which all opened last week. Two more fun-filled attractions were slated to open last spring, but have plans were delayed due to COVID-19. New Jersey SEA LIFE Aquarium, a 25,000-square foot aquarium and LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey, a LEGO fanatic’s dream come true.
Now that the openings for both attractions have been pushed to Spring 2021, there will be ample time to get them ready for guests. Both SEA LIFE and LEGOLAND will open at limited capacity and will have measures in place to ensure social distancing to keep everyone safe. Face coverings will be worn by staff and guests and enhanced cleaning measure will be in place, especially at high-frequency touchpoints and play areas.
“The health of our guests, staff and sea creatures is of utmost importance and we are taking every step to prepare for a safe and exciting opening next year,” said General Manager, Camille DePascale. “Our number one priority is to create fun and educational experiences for families at New Jersey SEA LIFE Aquarium and LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey, all within a safe and comfortable environment.”
SEA LIFE New Jersey will feature a “City Under the Sea” theme with interactive exhibits inspired by the area’s landmarks. The aquarium will be home to more than 3,000 creatures and will offer talks, feeding demonstrations, behind-the-scenes tours and more.
LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey will offer fun and interactive experiences for kids aged 3-10. There will be a LEGO themed train ride, 4D cinema, and LEGO building classes hosted by the Master Model Builder. Speaking of which, LEGOLAND is looking to hire its next Master Model Builder!
