Counting the days till football season? Don’t miss your chance to walk the field and check out the locker rooms at MetLife Stadium during this weekend’s free Health & Fitness Expo, hosted by NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47 Health & Fitness Expo, and presented by Quest Diagnostics.
On June 23-24, from 10 am-4 pm both days, MetLife Stadium will be teeming with activity. Think zip line towers, rock climbing walls and a Giants Experience for fans who want to play themed activities (like the 40-yard dash) on the same grass as their fave legends. Current and former New York Giants players will be in attendance, including Landon Collins, Harry Carson, Phil Simms, Carl Banks, Chris Snee, Antonio Pierce, Plaxico Burress and Jessie Armstead.
It’s not just about football this weekend, either. Celebrate the World Cup at the Telemundo 47 World Cup Tailgate, which will host a live viewing party and contests. Visitors can also practice their soccer skills (and take shots!) with the New York City Football Club.
Your future anchors and meteorologists will love NBC Village, where they can meet reporters and on-camera talent from NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47, plus try their hand at forecasting the weather. Grab a photo at the TODAY Show desk or one of the famous red chairs from The Voice, then take a tour of weather vehicles equipped with Doppler radars.
Stop by the Inspire Wellness Stage to listen to motivational speakers and informational presentations, which includes a visit from The Nanny’s Fran Drescher, a cancer survivor who will speak about prevention and detection.
Other guests include The Voice’s Dylan Hartigan (from Wyckoff) and Little Big Shots’ Sparsh Shah (from Iselin).
When you visit different activities throughout the event you’ll receive a “Passport to Health” that’ll allow you to enter giveaways and win prizes over the weekend.
The event and parking are free. In addition, Quest Diagnostics will be offering adults free health screenings, including testing for cholesterol, vitamin D, kidney function and blood sugar level.
