When Maria De Abreu Pineda was working towards her associates in engineering science at Bergen Community College, she couldn't help but notice she was the only girl in her classes. Now, she's at Stevens Institute of Technology for biomedical engineering. She sits down with Joanna Gagis to discuss the stark differences between her home country of Venezuela and the US in terms of women working in and learning STEM, as well as why girls should find other women role models in the STEM field.
