As we continue to look for more ways to have socially distanced fun this holiday, a massive event is in the works to bring on the holiday cheer. The South Jersey Holiday Light Show, sponsored by BOLD Media, promises to dazzle adults and kids with the magic of the holiday season. Taking place at one of the few racetracks left in the Garden State, Bridgeport Speedway in Logan Township will host the event designed for those who want to get in the spirit from the safety of their own vehicle.
“The South Jersey Holiday Light Show is the only drive-through holiday light spectacular in Southern New Jersey!” says the show’s website. “Featuring dozens of dazzling, larger-than-life holiday-themed displays to delight the entire family!”
If you can’t make your annual trip to Rockefeller Center this year, consider driving through this amazing display, which will feature giant displays made from steel frames and colored lights. Marvel at fan favorites such as Santa, candles and poinsettias, snowflakes and other holiday scenes, all lit up with holiday cheer. Guests can tune their radios to an FM station to listen to holiday music that is synchronized with the displays as they slowly drive through the mile-long route event.
The experience lasts about 20-25 minutes and takes place at the speedway site, not on the actual racetrack. For your safety, guests are asked to remain in their vehicles, though you will still get some great photo ops from inside your car!
The South Jersey Holiday Light Show begins November 19 and will take place Thursday-Sunday evenings through the end of December. Shows start at 5 pm and the online ticket price is $23 per car (more if you just drive up). Cars, pickups and SUV’s are ok, but no buses please. Click here for tickets, which can be used for ANY DAY the show is on when you buy online.
