Wild Forest: A LEGO Safari (shown): check out giant LEGO sculptures of tigers, zebras, and other exotic wildlife; construct your own LEGO sculptures; enjoy Wildlife Theater performances; and a musical puppet show, Avenue Zoo, through Sept. 3

Children’s Museum of Manhattan


UMIGU (You-Make-It-Go): play with new transmedia math games and products from the world of UMIGO. Discover new math skills through videos, dance, board and card games, songs, and iPad explorations, see website for dates and times;  Hot Saturday Night Family Dance Jams: families get down with music- and motion-driven fun, each session featuring a different dance style. On Aug. 4, learn hip hop moves, and on Aug. 18 learn Kung-fu, 5-7 pm

Making Books Sing


If You Really Love Polar Bears: Patchy is a little boy with a big interest in polar bears. This free, interactive show has music, puppetry, and comedy. Each show is at a different New York Public Library branch location, Aug. 2, 3, 7-9, 14, 15, and 23
