Several Jersey favorites are having their final weekends, so if you’ve been meaning to check out Newark’s Winter Village and others, get on it before they go away. There’s also lots of magic happening on stage — bigger kids will love Monster Jam or take the little ones to see Daniel Tiger Live! for an unforgettable show. Or book a sitter and head to the State Theatre to see the most amazing dancers move to everything from Bach to Bowie.

Ice Harvest
Howell Living History Farm, Lambertville
Neighbors once called Howell Farm the “ice farm” because they could buy ice from the pond to keep their milk cool on the way to the train station on Pleasant Valley Road. In late January, visitors to the farm will learn about the tools and technology that made ice harvesting a successful business at the turn of the 20th century with demonstrations of ice cutting, hauling, and handling. Visitors can also help pull ice blocks up the ramp to the ice house, chip ice to make ice cream, and make an ice candle to take home. Ice cream and snow cone samples will be available in the afternoon, and food will be available at the farmhouse for purchase. $4 materials fee for ice candle craft.
Fire and Ice Festival

2022 will be the 29th Mount Holly Fire & Ice Festival & the committee has been planning all year to hold this free family friendly event, filled with ice carvers lining the streets carving 300-pound blocks of ice into works of art. The fire will be provided by the chili cook off where the area’s best & brightest chefs go head to head and the public gets to take a taste & give their vote. Plus, there will be exhibits, vendors, animals, music, plenty of food & adult beverages & a great reason to visit downtown Mount Holly.

National Theatre Live: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
