An Ohio elementary school knows how to get parents’ attention in the car line. The Austintown Elementary PTA put up some hilarious signs featuring celebrities including NSYNC, MC Hammer, TLC and Ryan Gossling and moms and dads at the school are laughing their way through drop-off.
Parents dropping off their kids at school last week were greeted with funny messages about car line rules which include not blocking lanes and trying to say a quick goodbye to kids as to not hold up traffic. “Can’t park here” read a sign featuring MC Hammer, referencing his hit song “U Can’t Touch This” from the 1990’s. In another sign, the popular group TLC warns parents “don’t go blocking drop off lanes,” a reference to their hit “Waterfalls.” PTA President Jessica Lippillo told New Jersey Family she got the idea from Mountain View School PTA in Arizona, who posted the same signs in 2021 which were shared on Facebook.
The cheeky PTA members responsible for the signs also referenced the popular “Hey Girl” meme which features heartthrob Ryan Gossling. In this version, he’s asking parents to move their cars all the way up.
On another hilarious sign, we see Ross from “Friends” moving a couch and telling moms and dads to “pivot!!” out of the drop-off line.
The signs resonated with parents across the world, and the Facebook post showing the pics has since gone viral. And while kids probably won’t get the joke, parents will definitely be smiling as they say “Bye Bye Bye” to their little ones.
