These are NJ’s Best Public High Schools

The annual rankings of the best high schools in the US were just released by Niche.com and NJ made the top of the list.

High Technology High School in Lincroft came in at number 8 in the US, while Bergen County Academies in Hackensack took the number 9 spot.  Biotechnology High School in Freehold placed number 21, while Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science in Manahawkin came in at number 24.

The highest ranked public high school in the US was The Davidson Academy (Reno, Nevada). There were 14 NJ schools in the top 100 and many more were on the rest of the list. Here are the standouts from the Garden State:

Niche.com factored in academic and student life data from thousands of schools across the country to come up with the 2022 rankings. The top factor was academics, but Niche.com also looked at culture and diversity, teachers, clubs and activities, sports and more. Here are the top 50 high schools:
