This year’s Girl Scout cookie season was cut short due to the pandemic (no buying 10 boxes on our way out of the grocery store), but the upcoming cookie season has a new cookie and that’s giving us hope for 2021. The Girl Scouts of the USA just unveiled its latest addictive treat, Toast-Yay, a french-toast inspired new cookie.

Did we mention that the syrup-flavored cookie will be dipped in icing? And that they’re adorably shaped like little pieces of toast? Yeah, local Girl Scouts, just put us down for a dozen boxes now.

Last year, when  cookie selling season was cut short due to COVID-19, many troops found a way to support those on the frontlines of the pandemic by accepting donations and delivering cookies to healthcare heroes.

This coming year, in preparation for contactless delivery and CDC guidelines, the troops will again be offering online sales and a delivery option through “virtual cookie booths.”

Cookie season starts in January. Will you be trying the new cookie from the Girl Scouts? What’s  your favorite GS cookie flavor? Tell us in the comments!
