The First Sesame Street Learn & Play Center in the U.S. Will Open in NJ

Listen to Big Bird tell stories at his nest, and climb and slide at the Playground

SESAME WORKSHOP

If your kids are fans of Big Bird, Elmo & their crew, then the way to get to Sesame Street is via American Dream in East Rutherford.

American Dream and Sesame Workshop will bring the first Sesame Street Learn & Play to the U.S. next month.  Through an immersive experience, kids will step into the rainforest at Elmo’s World, listen to Big Bird tell stories at his nest, shop at Hooper’s Store, explore Abby Cadabby’s magical garden, learn about cranks and gears at the Bike Shop, and have some laughs with Bert and Ernie.

AMERICAN DREAM

There’s a Sesame Street Playground where kids can climb and slide; with a separate toddler play area for younger kiddies.

You’ll also be able to take family photos in front of iconic Sesame Street landmarks, such as 123 Stoop and Oscar’s trash can, and make your own arts and crafts projects. You can rent a party room and of course, there’s a retail shop with plenty of Sesame merch.

AMERICAN DREAM

Sesame Street Learn & Play opened on November 16 at American Dream, 1 American Dream Way, East Rutherford. During the grand opening weekend celebration, kids can join the Sesame Street Dream Parade; kicking off at the Dream Stage at 11 am, the parade will continue and end in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The parade is free for everyone to join, but if you want to go inside the Sesame Street Learn & Play, you’ll have to buy an admission ticket.
