As we soak up the last few days of summer, there’s plenty of opportunity for some last-minute adventures around the Garden State. With summer coming to a close, you don’t want to miss the jamfest at New Jersey Uke Fest in Whippany and Morristown or the professional stunt rider showing off at Pompton Plains’ End of Summer Bash Food Truck & Stunt Show.

New Jersey Uke Fest
Head to the Ukrainian American Cultural Center and on August 24, the Green in Morristown for an outdoor jamfest. There’ll also be workshops, vendors and an open mic, plus other instruments at the post-concert play-along on Friday.

Hunterdon County 4H & Agricultural Fair
It’s all about animals, educational displays, entertainment and great food at South County Park.
Sports Card, Toy, Comic & Collectibles Expo
Head to the boardwalk for collectible cards (think Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh and sports), LEGOs, Funko Pops, comic books, Beanie Babies, jerseys and more. There’ll also be autographing sessions with some celebs.
Hop on your reindeer and head over to UCPAC with the kids to rewatch their favorite Disney flick performed by actors ages 5-17.
Vintage North Jersey Wine & Food Festival
Peruse wines from Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon and Mercer Counties, then pair your drinks with fare from food trucks and specialty food and craft vendors. Don’t forget your blankets and chairs so you can relax while you munch and listen to live music.
Chocolate & Vanilla Days
Head to the Camden Children’s Garden for chocolate and vanilla cookie decorating, plus crafts, games and more.

Movies in the Park
Don’t worry about phoning home, your whole family can hang out this Friday. Pack your blankets, chairs, snacks and kids and hit Village Park for a screening of E.T.
SATURDAY (AUGUST 24)
End of Summer Bash Food Truck & Stunt Show
Swing by the food trucks and fill your belly before watching professional stunt rider, King Rommel, perform impossible stunts at Pompton Sports Center.
Billy Ray Cyrus Live
Coming off the “Old Town Road,” Billy Ray Cyrus is bringing is lyrics, guitar and “Achy, Breaky Heart” to NJ to celebrate three decades of singing, writing and entertainment at Skylands Stadium.
Perfect Little Planet
Ages 6-12 can spend an evening in RVCC’s planetarium seeking adventure throughout the Milky Way. They’ll take a trip around Pluto, burst through the rings of Saturn, peek at Jupiter’s lightning storms and check out the red surface of Mars.
New Jersey Jackals Beer & Burger Night
Bring your mini baseball fans out for specialty burgers and craft beer, then listen to live music and stick around for fireworks after the game.
Movies & Music Under the Stars
Gather your family and grab chairs and blankets and head to the Fort Lee Community Center outdoor stage before sunset for a screening of Shuffle, Jump & Moan.
SUNDAY (AUGUST 25)
Cranford Street Fair and Craft Show
Head into downtown Cranford for the Street Fair & Craft Show, chock-full of artists, crafters, vendors, live music and food, plus rides, a game trailer, petting zoo and more for the kids.
Hub City Sounds Indo-American Festival
Dig into food, listen to music and check out dance performances inspired by traditions from Northern and Southern India. There’ll also be yoga demos and classes for all experience levels.
