Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! Here are two fun and easy crafts to enjoy making with your kids:

Thanksgiving Arts and CraftsTee Pee Centerpiece

As soon as I saw these tee pee creations on Pinterest, I knew I wanted to make them with my kids.

First, start by breaking off a small part of the tip of the sugar cone.

Next, put something representing twigs into the top of your tee pee—we used Tings corn sticks, but thin pretzels or anything like that would work well, too.

Last, we added some fall decoration to the base of the tee pee. My kids used Captain Crunch for the “ground” with a few fabric and sticker leaves.

For the final Thanksgiving touch, we added pilgrim and Native American figures.

Have fun with your kids designing a scene for your tee pee, or of course making a whole tee pee village!

Thanksgiving Arts and CraftsHandprint Turkey Place Card

I love this handprint turkey that stands upright and can be used as a cute decoration or as a place card on the main Thanksgiving table, or at the kids table.

First, trace the outline of your hand or your child’s hand on a piece of construction paper, and have you or your child cut it out.

Next, decorate the clothespins that will become the turkey’s legs. Color with markers or glue on rhinestones, sequins, feathers or anything else that suits your turkey fancy.

Add the turkey’s eyes (we used googly eyes, but a black marker works fine, too) and a red waddle.

Last, write a name on the turkey and you have a perfect place card for Thanksgiving dinner.
