Spark Car Wash is doing more than just cleaning the pollen off your car. The company is unveiling a major community outreach program that will align its business model with its ongoing mission of benefiting the communities in which it operates, through efforts that support youth mentorship and teacher appreciation.
The charitable program, Spark Neighborhood, kicked off at the Sicklerville location on National Car Wash Day, which was March 28, and will expand through all branches.
Spark will establish a partnership with The Community Care Food & Clothing Pantry, a non-profit organization with a mission to eliminate hunger in the South Jersey region. Spark will donate revenue generated from 8 am – 8 pm April 30 to the organization, and will encourage customers to make additional donations, which Spark will match.
Spark will invite teachers and faculty from Winslow Twp. to receive free car washes from 1-4 pm May 7. Additionally, 20% of revenue that day will be donated to the organization. Spark Car Wash members will have the opportunity to contribute additional funds to the school.
On June 3, Spark will work with Building Up the Youth, a locally run youth support group that offers programs such as tutoring, sports and mentorship to the children of the community. From 1-4 pm, 20% of revenue will be donated to the organization. Members of Building Up the Youth will be present to greet customers and share additional program details.
“We’re a New Jersey-based business, and we are well-positioned and eager for the opportunity to make an impact on the Sicklerville community in a big way,” says Kyle Van Decker, CEO of Spark Car Wash. “Our goal is to celebrate and support those who are at the heart of the neighborhood and dedicate their time to our community. Giving back is a cornerstone of our brand values and we’re eager to kick off Spark Neighborhood. There’s no better place to invest and make an impact than right here in our home state.”
Spark Car Wash was founded in 2016. Currently, Spark is located in Sicklerville and Woodland Park. Two new locations will open in Perth Amboy and Mt. Holly in the coming months.
