You’ve probably seen a lot of Facebook posts about how kids are celebrating their birthdays under quarantine to prevent the spread of coronavirus. From FaceTime and Zoom video conferencing with friends to kids driving by the birthday child’s house to sing, the new birthday party normal is setting in, which means virtual birthday parties.

One of the most popular spots to host a kids’ birthday party is now offering to host them virtually for free.  Sky Zone, the national chain of indoor trampoline parks, is hosting free birthday parties by creating invites and setting up virtual links for families to share. What happens at the virtual party? A Sky Zone party pro will lead the birthday child and his or her friends through 20 minutes of active-play games that can be done at home.

“We’re thrilled to offer Sky Zone’s virtual birthday party experience as a safe and undeniably fun way to engage in active play at home,” said Jeff Platt, President of Sky Zone Franchise Group. “By bringing the popular Sky Zone birthday party experience online, we can continue helping families celebrate these special occasions while staying safe at home.”

Families can throw the kids a virtual birthday party from Tuesday to Saturday 3-9 pm EST and celebrate with a maximum of 10 friends. To request a virtual party, parents can email Birthdays@SkyZone.com with their names, child’s name, email address & phone number. A Sky Zone representative will follow up with confirmation details and next steps.

Until kids can bounce around together in person, Sky Zone is hoping this will help birthday kids connect virtually with friends while being active at the same time.
