Visiting Sesame Place during the holidays is always a magical experience. This year, the park is still offering its A Very Furry Christmas Celebration, where you can see it transformed into a brightly lit wonderland, watch two special Christmas-themed shows, take in a parade and go on a train ride tour, all with social distancing, masks and safety restrictions. But there’s also a new attraction this year that doesn’t require leaving your car: the Furry & Bright Christmas Drive-Thru Experience.

SESAME PLACE

On select Tuesday and Wednesday nights through the holidays, you’ll be safe and warm in the comfort of your car while experiencing some Sesame holiday magic. The entire park is decked out with holiday decorations and has more than a million festive lights, with Christmas tunes blasting. Plus, the characters from Sesame Place will be wearing their very best Christmas sweaters.

As you journey through the park in your vehicle, there will be plenty of themed streets to discover. Drive through Candy Cane Lane, which is lined with candy canes taller than your kids and features a glittering 50-foot tunnel lined with lights.

On Snowflake Way, you’ll get to experience a white Christmas, with a guaranteed snowfall.  During the drive, you’ll even spot a nine-foot-tall menorah for all those who celebrate Hanukkah. And the best part of the ride is seeing your Sesame Places buddies, like Abby, Bert, Ernie and Elmo, who will wave hello as you make your way through the experience. At the very end, you can meet Santa Claus, and he’ll wish you a very Merry Christmas.

This 30-minute Christmas Drive-Thru Experience will be open every Wednesday and Tuesday from November 10 to December 23. The attraction will run each night from 5 pm to 8 pm. Tickets are priced by vehicle rather than by participants. A standard car will cost $45 and a minibus will cost $65. If you’re not sure if your vehicle is permitted, check the FAQs for this event. You can also try out the add-on packs for snacks, $35, or for souvenirs, $75. Reserve your tickets here.
