Gogo Squeez announced via its Facebook page on October 8 that several of its products (including the GoGo Squeez Fruit & Veggiez, Zippin’ Zingin’ Pear, 12.8 oz. (4 – 3.2 oz. pouches) with expiration dates June 30, 2016 and July 26, 2016 tested positive for traces of mold.
After the sample was tested in an independent lab by a team of microbiologists, founder and CEO Michel Larroche issued a voluntary recall stating, “We identified an issue in our recent production that led to the development of some common mold (like what can form on small fruit) in a number of pouches.”
Larroche continued that although common mold poses no health risks, it probably won’t taste great.
