Voted as our readers' favorite fair or festival in the state is the NJ State Fair/Sussex County Farm + Horse Show in Augusta, NJ. This annual event, occurring this year from August 2–11, promotes NJ Agriculture, and features lawnmower races, equestrian competitions, 4-H presentations, and a carnival with rides and games. A family-entertainment building offers a petting zoo, elephant rides, and a chainsaw artist!
