Physical Activity Failure

CDC reports say few NJ kids meet the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity.

Few New Jersey kids meet the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) recommended daily 60 minutes of moderate physical activity. According to a 2014 CDC report, only about 27 percent of New Jersey youth engage in the recommended one hour of daily aerobic activity, and more than 11 percent report no daily activity whatsoever. Nationwide, approximately one-fourth of American kids ages 6–15 meet the recommended requirements, making New Jersey pretty close to the not-so-great national average.
