Our Top Toothbrush Tips

Keep her toothbrush healthy.

We’ve all hung onto a frayed, bent toothbrush that’s seen better days. Truth is, you can’t really encourage your kids’ dental health without showing her toothbrush some love. Here’s how to keep her brush in top shape:

•  Get a new one every three to four months, or as soon as the bristles are worn. Flat bristles don’t clean as well, and also harbor germs.

•   Choose a toothbrush with soft bristles made of round-ended material so it won’t hurt her gums.

•  Thoroughly rinse his toothbrush in tap water or antibacterial mouth rinse after use to remove debris and toothpaste.

•  Store it upright and in open air; closed containers promote the growth of bacteria.
