Did you miss your chance to hit the pop-up Museum of Ice Cream when it came to NYC a few years back? You’re in luck. The Manhattan flagship is opening its doors this fall—this time for good.
With locations in San Francisco, LA and Miami that keep ice cream fans screaming year-round, MOIC is bringing 25,000 square feet of sweets, multisensory displays and more to the Big Apple after three years in the works.
Even if you went to the pop-up, you can expect 13 new installations, featuring a Celestial Subway inspired by the city, a floating table topped with snacks, a three-story slide the kids will love soaring down, a display of giant ice cream scoops and more. There are three floors to explore, plus a shop, cafe, lounge and, of course, plenty of ice cream. Be sure to keep an ear out for buzzing while you’re there; if you follow the sound, you’ll find the Queen Bee Hive! Oh, and that Instafamous sprinkle pool? It’s back and bigger than ever.
NYC is just the beginning: Several other flagships in the US and beyond are expected to open in the near future. Tickets go on sale October 9 for $38/person (kids under 2 free), and they’re going to go fast. Put your name on the waitlist for a shot at early access.
Want to get to lickin’ this summer? Hit Target stores in Clifton, Edgewater, Edison, Fairfield. Jersey City, Mount Laurel, Princeton or Riverdale to get one of seven MOIC brand ice cream pints. Flavors include Malt Shake, Churro Churro and Cone Zone.
