Are all of those states really more fun than NJ? We’ll admit that California and Florida both have amazing weather, great natural beauty and awesome amusement parks, but New Jersey offers the best of both worlds in many respects. We’ve got lakes for boating and woods for nature hikes plus the Jersey Shore which boasts some of the best beaches in the county if not the world. Our fresh produce is unbeatable, and our farms and wineries make the Garden State a great place for both kids and parents to have a good time.
In this study, California had the most restaurants per capita, and New York had the most performing arts theaters. Vermont was recognized for its skiing facilities while Alaska was tops for access to national parks.
There’s no arguing that these states and others on the list offer tons of options for fun and recreation. But when it comes to a place that has the most variety of fun and is one of the best places in the country to raise a family, we think New Jersey deserves top honors!
NJ residents are the happiest in the US — see why!
