NYC is adding one more must-see spot this fall. National Geographic is bringing what looks like a mind-blowing immersive experience to Manhattan called Encounter Ocean Odyssey, which is scheduled to open October 6. Your crew will get a realistic look at the depths of the Pacific Ocean, thanks to the award-winning technology behind the project making Encounter the first entertainment experience of its kind.
Mini-marine biologists will get to toy with stingrays, behold a huge 50-foot humpback whale, get tangled in the tentacles of a squid and come face to face with a great white, all in the middle of Times Square. Guests will get to go on a digital underwater dive here, which spotlights a 3D model of a coral reef based on 2D photos from the Solomon Islands and a finale of 120,000 fish.
