Lift The Spirits of Healthcare Heroes With Blue Hearts

Have the kids fill your windows with hearts to show their gratitude for frontline workers.

blue hearts for healthcare heroes

We all want to find ways to support the tireless healthcare workers  putting their lives on the line every day to keep us safe during the COVID-19 crisis. From donating meals to hospitals to nightly applause to lights for your window, communities across the state and the world are doing what  they can to show their love. If the kids are looking for a way to make a difference,  South Jersey based Inspira Health is encouraging people to hang blue hearts in their windows to show their gratitude to healthcare heroes, and we’re hoping this trend is one that will spread.

It’s really simple, and you can use any supplies you already have. Have the kids poke around in their school supplies or junk drawers to see what you can use.

Here are some ideas to make the blue hearts using these common household items:

  •         Blue construction paper cut out
  •         Colored on paper with blue marker, crayon, pen, paint, etc.
  •         Knitted blue heart
  •         Blue painters tape in the shape of a heart on the window
  •         Gluing blue beads or glitter on paper
  •         Cutting up an old blue t-shirt or jeans in the shape of a heart

Be sure to write your own special  thank you message on your heart.
