The Art of the Brick Exhibit
Morris Museum in Morristown, NJFriday, December 2 – Monday, February 20
This exhibition features over 25 large-scale sculptures created out of LEGO bricks by artist Nathan Sawaya. While the exhibition is on view, a special area will be set up where visitors, inspired by Sawaya's work, can build their own fantastic LEGO creations. And on Dec. 27, check out a People's Choice LEGO Competition at the museum!
Reading and Beading (Mommy and Me)
Just Bead Yourself in Westfield, NJWednesday, December 28
Listen to a silly reading of "The Butt Book" by the author Artie Bennett. Kids also make a beaded bookmark with charm. Parents may create their own earrings for an additional $5. Registration required.
Journey to Going Green
Imagine That!!! in Florham Park, NJWednesday, December 28
Imagine That!!! is going green. Teach your children how they can help save the planet with a craft and presentations about solar energy and recycling. Cost of admission includes a craft and snack for children. Participants are asked to bring gently-used toys, clothing, or shoes for recycling and donation. Registration required.
A Very Furry Christmas
Sesame Place in Langhorne, PAFriday, December 23 – Saturday, December 31 (excludes 24th and 25th)
This family-friendly celebration includes three holiday shows and a light show at the 1-2-3 Christmas Tree, music, rides, and twinkling lights all around. The street will come to life at night with an illuminated Neighborhood Street Party Parade. Tickets required.
Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
State Theatre of NJ in New Brunswick, NJMonday, December 26 – Wednesday, December 28
Every December, Plays-in-the-Park moves from its home in Edison and travels to New Brunswick, lock, stock, and camels, for this annual production. Joseph, the favored son with the power to interpret dreams, is betrayed by his jealous brothers. Tickets required.
