Beloved children’s music artist Laurie Berkner is returning to the New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning this summer. The mega-annual festival is a big tradition, and Berkner has been delighting her young fans by appearing at the fest since 2017. She’ll open up the music stage this year, with a performance on Friday, July 29 at 1:30 pm.
An icon in the kid music world, Berkner and her band are known for songs like “Telephone” and “We Are the Dinosaurs” and “Walk Along the River.” In 2022, she’ll be celebrating the 25th anniversary of her debut album “Whaddaya Think off That?.” Tickets for her show are on sale now at balloonfestival.com. Each ticket grants you a reserved seat for her show and admission to the festival so you can stay the afternoon and watch the balloons lift off. All children ages 2 and older need their own seats. Tickets start at $39 each and the super premium seats ($79/each) include a Meet & Greet with Berkner.
Also performing this summer is Collective Soul (Friday, July 29 at 8 pm), Todd Rundgren (Saturday, July 30 at 8 pm) and Kansas (Sunday, July 31 at 3:30 pm). The Collective Soul concert will be followed by fireworks and the Todd Rundgren show will be in conjunction with the world-famous balloon glow.
The festival runs from July 29-31 at the Solberg Airport in Readington and will feature daily balloon launches, music, games, rides, food and more family-friendly activities. You can reserve your tickets now for the festival, your favorite musical act or even book a hot air balloon ride (don’t delay since they often sell out quickly).
