Dental decay is the most prevalent chronic pediatric disease in the country yet so few of us know anything about it. Forty percent of all children are said to have cavities by the time they reach kindergarten and are three times more likely to miss school as a result of dental pain, according to Dr. Jenna Winokur, a board-certified dentist at Dentistry for Children which has practice locations in Jackson, Lakewood, Toms River, Neptune and Howell.
