It’s time to get dressed up and take the family to one of the most fun Halloween-themed activities – Boo at the Zoo! This yearly tradition at the Bronx Zoo will take place from October 1- November 1 this year on Thursdays-Sundays (including Monday, October 12) and has been reimagined to ensure families stay safe and socially-distanced from other guests.
Some favorite activities at the festival include the Magic & Mind Reading show and the Extinct Animal Graveyard which features some dearly departed animal species that are no longer of this earth.
The Costume MASKerade will delight kids (and adults) of all ages as stilt walkers and Halloween-themed puppets enchant and entertain. Watch pumpkin carving demos and follow the candy trail to learn about some of the zoo animals’ favorite treats. The pumpkin trail and scavenger hunt are also favorites.
Over at the Wildlife Theater, young ones will learn about dinosaurs and sharks – and how they’re not quite as scary as you’d think.
Seating for all shows will be socially-distanced and touch areas will be sanitized in between performances. Don’t forget that this year, all tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $39.95 for adults 13 and over, $34.95 for seniors over 65 and $29.95 for kids 3-12. Tickets are free for members.
