Everyone knows the Garden State is filled with rolling hills, breathtaking mountains and some gorgeous state parks (Liberty State Park and Cape May Point State Park are some of our faves!). Now you can add another spot on your list to check out, Tall Pine Preserve, a 109-acre green space that straddles Mantua and Deptford in Gloucester County.

With this newest addition to NJ’s already booming arsenal of natural beauty last summer, every county in the state officially has its own state park. Formerly an 18-hole golf course, Tall Pines Preserve offers families in South Jersey a full-day of activities. Whether you prefer a view of woodlands, ponds, grassy meadows or creeks, your family can choose from over four miles of biking and hiking trails along several types of habitats. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars if you’re going with aspiring birdwatchers—there are over 70 species here!  And if you’d like to bring a four-legged friend, they’re welcome, too.
