Grab your little knights and head over to Medieval Times ASAP for some old school entertainment. Through August 31, each child between ages 5 and 12 will be admitted to the tournament free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
If you've never been to this Lyndhurst staple, here's a run-down of how a night of royalty goes. Your crew will become part of the King's court from arena-side seats to an exhilarating knight competition. Iron-clad heroes will clash on horseback, joust, swordfight and more in an effort to win the fair maiden's heart and king's favor. Guests of the castle cheer on their knight (your seat section is colored so you know which knight to root for!) as he battles through the evening, all while feasting on a four-course dinner sans-silverware.
Between the classic Medieval horse pageantry and contests of skill, this spectacle is something you won’t want to miss. If your kid wants more quality time with the Middle Ages, stop by at 5:30 pm on Wednesdays for Jr. Knight Training. The first 50 kids admitted can jump right into the action themselves before the main event.
Tickets purchased after this price special ends cost $62.95 for adults and $36.95 for kids under 12. Rates vary for camps, groups and birthday parties. The Lyndhurst Castle is located at 149 Polito Ave., Lyndhurst. Use the code KFB17 online to get the deal when purchasing tickets. Visit the website or call 1-888-WE-JOUST for more information.
