Oh. My. God. The Friends Experience, an immersive exhibit, is coming to New York City! The pop-up was here briefly a few years back, but sold out quickly. Starting March 17, fans of the iconic TV show will have a chance to explore two floors of interactive experiences all related to the show. After a successful showing in Chicago, now fans of the TV show in the New York area will get a chance to enter the world of Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Ross, Joey and Chandler. With set recreations, original props and costumes, photo ops and a retail store this will definitely be a fun experience for you and your own besties to check out. And yes, there’s even a Central Perk where you can grab a cup of coffee.
Some of the experiences included in the exhibit include the chance to pose on the famous orange couch, sit at Monica and Rachel’s kitchen table and kick back in Chandler and Joey’s comfy chairs. For fans of the show, it’s a must-see!
As for COVID safety, the website says the exhibit is not only clean, it’s “Monica clean!” That includes limited capacity, temperature checks and increased sanitation including UV sterilization. There will be hand sanitizing stations, disinfecting wipes by all touch points and face coverings are required.
The Friends Experience takes approximately 60 minutes to walk through.
The exhibit is located at 130 E23rd Street, NYC (corner of E23rd St. & Lexington Ave) and tickets ($52.50 for peak times, $45 for off-peak) are on sale now. Limited standby tickets for a higher price may be available at the door, so make sure to purchase yours online in advance! You can also sign up for emails on the website so that Regina Phalange, a businesswoman in town on business, can keep you updated on tickets and news.
